In the accommodation business the measure of data got regular is overpowering, and it isn’t feasible for staff to have the option to figure out it and arrange it appropriately. In the accommodation business the data advances are the instruments that the staff uses to sort and deal with the data and the fair score card is only one such apparatus. The Balanced Score Card is a helpful instrument for supervisors since it composes data from various offices to make an image of the inns tasks and the achievement of those activities. The Balanced Score Card is a device that is utilized by business experts, the data that this found on this card is valuable to the chiefs for an assortment of reasons. Anyway the essential use is to screen the associations progress towards it vision and its strategic. The data resembles a depiction of the strength of the business. This apparatus permits chief to recognize zones that need improvement, ones that are progressing admirably and what may be future chances. (Nyheim &McFadden, 2007) In the decent score card the information that is utilized is gathered by a wide range of offices. One of the principle sorts of data found on the reasonable score card is money related data. Some other data that can likewise be found on the card remembers such things as data for workers, the turnover rate, and furthermore advancements. There is likewise gear usefulness and learning and development of the organization that is found on the card. One final thing that is available on the card is client data and it might incorporate such things as consumer loyalty; 3 returning clients, and the general encounters and recommendations made by the clients. With all the data gathered from numerous divisions in the lodging this is utilized to make the completed item which is known as a reasonable score card. It is smarter to lease the room at a lower rate than to occupy the room as opposed to leaving rates the equivalent and the room remain void, in such a case that it’s void there is no benefit. Inside the inn business the food and drink division utilizes a type of RMS, it contains three parts to incorporate information for their area of expertise, a state of deals framework, stock and 4 menu the executives, and furthermore reservation and table administration. Supervisors can utilize the data to ensure that the office is meeting their financial plan and its objectives for the lodging. There is likewise client encounters that are gathered on the decent score card, and this data can assist administrators with improving to all the more likely fit the requirements of clients. The data on the card can likewise show the supervisors the active season and the moderate time which helps in requesting stock, when specials should be ran and when the office may need to enlist more staff. The fair score card data is exceptionally useful for administrators to have the option to realize when to enlist for various divisions. In light of the inns slow times of year in spring and fall, the inn may require less representatives for one division and still need a similar sum in another office so by taking a gander at the decent score card it is simpler to decide. It very well may be utilized by chiefs for staffing, for example, additional end of the week staff during the bustling season, or an occasion end of the week and this data is completely found on the reasonable score card. There are some different instances of data that can be discovered, for example, to much staff in one office, pointless additional time, if a full time worker is accepting hours because of the slow time of year, and regardless of whether a staff can be elevated or moved to an alternate division. The accomplishment of any lodging is reliant on its staff and the data gave by the reasonable score card is important in learning this data. 5 When the board takes a gander at the reasonable score card they have numerous options they ought to consider. A portion of these decisions may incorporate benefit and representative fulfillment inside the organization. It is significant to the extent benefit in light of the fact that an organization needs benefits to remain open, and to the extent representatives it is significant on the grounds that to carry out a responsibility as well as could be expected it assists with having upbeat workers. The benefit is one of the data that is appeared on the fair score card, bookkeeping can take a gander at this and know whether promoting and deals need to make change in paces of rooms, or different regions. One approach to build benefits through showcasing would make changes to rooms, what sort of civilities are offered and doing advancements or limits to help bring the benefits up. The fulfillment of representatives and their condition the contribution of workers are likewise remembered for the decent score card. This will assist the board with adjusting nature to help with the representatives so they are glad and all the more ready to perform well on their activity and that is a significant key in client assistance. The Balanced Score Card is a significant instrument for the utilization of the board to make changes and improve territories or offices when required. The data or information that is found on a decent score card has such a large number of significant uses for all divisions of the lodging and is so significant in all territories from staffing to making up benefits. It is by a wide margin one of the most helpful devices in the accommodation business today. References Innovation Strategies-Nyheim,P.D.,F.M.,& Connolly,D.J. Firewalls and Proxy Servers Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1250 words

Firewalls and Proxy Servers - Essay Example An ongoing change in initiative has impacted an adjustment along these lines of reasoning. The ICT Department has been approved to execute a progressively compelling and effective system guard framework. It is, consequently, that we are moving towards the appropriation of a Stego safeguard framework. Steganography, additionally called information stowing away, is the craft of concealing an incognito (covered up) message inside a plain record. Steganography can be portrayed as a technique to cover the presence of a message inside apparently blameless material. To perform steganography, two consenting partakers are essential. The sender implants an incognito message inside an unmistakable document and sends it to the beneficiary, who removes the secret message. The objective of steganography is to stow away however much data as could reasonably be expected without it being recognized (Judge, 2001). The objective of stego-stamping is to implant data in a manner that keeps the data from being distinguished or expelled. Stego-checking consolidates the key characteristics of both steganography and computerized watermarking (Judge, 2001). Our association utilizes both equipment and programming firewalls and any answer for upgrading the guard of our system framework, or shielding us from the Internet's threatening condition, will work related to our firewall framework. At the current second, we are engaged with the usage of a Stego framework to work related to our firewall framework. So as to all the more likely see how the one will praise and upgrade the other, it is essential that I review our employable firewall framework. A firewall is a gadget that sits between two systems, for the most part the Internet and a corporate system. A firewall drops or permits the death of parcels dependent on specific conditions (Strassberg, Rollie, and Gondek, 2002). The sifting done by a firewall is generally founded on one of the accompanying: - An IP address that is taken from the IP header - A port number that is taken from the TCP or UDP header A few firewalls can channel parcels as indicated by application information, yet most firewalls are not scaled for such sifting (Strassberg, Rollie, and Gondek, 2002). Our firewall framework isn't scaled for such separating. Despite the fact that firewalls are the primary assault anticipation gadget being used today, they can just channel bundles at a significant level. Firewalls can't channel bundles as indicated by explicit sorts of data in the parcels. Firewalls utilize certain fields, for example, IP locations and port numbers, to decide whether a bundle ought to be sifted. These fields are utilized in light of the fact that they are the main fields thought about helpful for recognizing and forestalling assaults (Strassberg, Rollie, and Gondek, 2002). Our own is a bundle separating firewall framework. It has forestalled innumerable interruption endeavors and assaults through the said sifting be that as it may, not all. To be sure, the disappointment of our firewall framework to shield us from worm and infection assaults has, throughout the years, cost us more than 200,000 dollars.By praising our firewall with a Stego framework, our firewall can be utilized to channel parcels dependent on information in different fields, for example, the TCP and IP headers, when stego-stamping is utilized to conceal information in those fields. 2.2 Stego-Marking The figure beneath portrays our system structure. The open system, or Internet, is appeared in red. The semi-open system is appeared in yellow. This system contains frameworks that must be available to the Internet. The inner or private system is appeared

The Healthcare Reform need to be done effectively - Free Essay Example

The Healthcare Reform Law called The Affordable Care Act was made to dramatically change health coverage and care, which was in hopes of bringing high-quality, affordable health insurance to all Americans. Some of the goals of the new reform law were to expand Medicaid to more lower-income families, create a place known as health insurance market places or more commonly known as exchanges where consumers will be able to buy high-quality, affordable private plans, and lastly it will protect consumers by eliminating coverage denials based on pre-existing conditions, and this would require health insurance companies to spend the majority of the money they get on providing excellent healthcare, and also offer free services and more to patients.(FamiliesUSA, 2010) To some people there are some issues with this new law, and this is not unexpected because healthcare can be such a tricky field to navigate and those who make new laws want to do what they think is the best for the public.. Some of the issues that are concerning to the public and lawmakers are: what laws are requiring the electronic medical record, when must the new law be implemented, what will happen if the new law is not implemented, what insurance is now provided by the affordable care act, how do the political parties feel about the healthcare reform, and lastly is there a chance that the bill will be repealed, there have been failed attempts in the past. In todays healthcare world technology is a huge component of how many public and private facilities are ran. Technology is used when it comes to medical records, it can be used to check patients into a facility and keep all of a patients information safe, but also be a reference for any medical staff, doctors, physical therapists, or any person in the medical field and give them the ability to go back and look at a patients past and current medical history and help them figure out the best plan of action to treat their patient. There are laws and other factors that go into implementing the electronic medical record. As a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act all public and private healthcare providers and other eligible professionals were required to adopt and show meaningful use of electronic medical records by January 1, 2014 to maintain their existing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement levels. (USF Health) When a facility is applying meaningful use of a health record it means that they are achieving improved quality, safety, efficiency, and reduce health disparities, they include a patient and their family more, improve healthcare for the public, and maintain privacy and security of patient health information. Healthcare providers that did implement the new EHR system were awarded with financial incentives and healthcare organizations who did not comply with the new system by 2015 experienced a 1% reduction in Medicare reimbursements. (USF Health) The reduction in Medicare reimbursement has gone even higher since this law was first put into effect. In 2017 Medicare reimbursements were raised by 3% and in 2018 they were raised again by going up to 4% in reimbursements. In the future this reduction could rise dramatically by going up to 95% depending on the future adjustments of Medicare. (Raintree Systems) With the number rising how it has over the years and how it may rise so bad in the future it is very important for healthcare facilities to consider the importance and value that this system will bring to their facility and how they may want to start the process sooner than later. One of the good things that came about after the new law was mandated was that there was a significant growth in health informatics, which is a field that merges information technology and healthcare into one. This type of job requires a healthcare professional that has skills and knowledge and they are able to develop, implement, and manage IT software and applications in the healthcare environment, these type of professionals are in high demand and this is expected to keep growing as the years go on. Since the field is so young it is expected that there will be a 12% rate of growth in employment opportunities for other related fields, some of these fields include medical records or health information technicians, medical or health managers, computer support specialists, and computer system managers. There are many titles and responsibilities of health informatic professionals. Some of the titles include Nursing Informatics Specialists, Health Informatics Consultant, Chief Medical Information Officer, Health Informatics Director, and Electronic Medical Record Keeper, with all of these options and more this field has a great outlook for its future. (USF Health) While this new field has opened up many more job opportunities and more options for people who are wanting to enter the healthcare world there are still some problems with implementing the new EHR system. Although the government and regulators are strongly implementing the new system some healthcare providers are finding it difficult to do so with the new system. For healthcare providers who are finding it difficult they will be able to apply for hardship exceptions, and this will help protect them against the reduction in Medicare reimbursements. Eligible providers may be able to apply for the hardship exceptions if they meet the following standards: they are new professionals who dont have the time to apply meaningful use in their current practice, a natural disaster has happened and impacted their records, they dont have face-to-face interactions with their patients, they lack follow-up equipment, they dont have control of the availability of CEHRT (Certified Electronic Health Record Technology) in their practice, and lastly they lack internet access or the optimal IT infrastructure for EMR implementation. (Raintree Systems) It is very important that all facilities that can have an EHR system do have one in place s that everything is able to run more smoothly in a facility. Another thing that has come into effect is the Affordable Care Act, what this does is that it makes it possible to ban health insurance companies from discriminating against people who have preexisting conditions while also keeping insurance markets stable and functional. (Families USA, 2017) One of the key features of this law is that it requires insurers cover people with preexisting conditions without charging more or limiting someones benefits, and this means that people that have health problems have coverage and if they are in an urgent situation, they are able to use it and this wont make their coverage costly, other ways it helps individuals out is by allowing kids up to 26 to stay on their parents plan, it expanded Medicaid, it requires most plans to cover preventative care, and it also improved mental health and substance use disorder coverage. (Families USA) When the Affordable Car Act was passed federal lawmakers made a commitment that individuals with preexisting condit ions should be able to buy insurance on the same bases that are offered to other consumers, for this to remain accessible for everyone regardless of their age, health status, or gender people that are younger and have a good health status should also enroll and the ACA also provides financial insurance that makes coverage affordable to people with low or moderate incomes. Another thing that the ACA also recognizes is all people dont meet the individual coverage requirement and cant afford insurance that they should not be penalized, some of the groups that do not meet the individual coverage requirement and are not penalized are people with incomes below the legal requirement for filing federal income tax returns, people that have experienced a financial hardship that would prevent them from obtaining insurance, and there are also a few others. If the individual coverage disappeared there would be millions of dollars lost and premiums would go up. Lastly what do the political parties think about the Affordable Care Act and is there a chance that the bill will be repealed soon. Since it became a law in 2010 Republicans have wanted to get rid of it and Democrats want to keep it because they think it is the best chance at reforming healthcare and making it affordable and accessible to everyone. Though both parties do want reform they each want to approach it differently. Democrats want to preserve and protect the ACA since its full enactment 20 million Americans now have health insurance and the people who dont have it has been cut in half. Almost all Democrats believe that quality healthcare should be a right to every American and they want the federal government to oversee, regulate, and administer the healthcare system. Democrats also oppose cuts to Medicaid, tax cuts for the wealthy, and any proposal that would limit acces s to health insurance on the private market. (Health Network) Most Democrats agree that the government should take over healthcare, but the extent has been undetermined because of disagreements. On the other side, Republicans believe that the private industry should administer health insurance as it has done in the past. People on this side believe that the ACA is a violation of American independence with its individual mandate and increased taxation to cover subsidies and most people would like to see a clean repeal of the ACA. This measure was an attempt by former President Obama to give affordable healthcare everyone, although a majority of Democrats supported the ACA, Obamacare gas not lived up to the hype, and even some Democrats believe that it hasnt accomplished its full potential in the last 7 years. Some of the problems were that many didnt understand why the law required them to get the insurance or face a fine, some people didnt understand the ACA and its four levels (bronze, silver, gold, and platinum), healthcare cost increased over the short term, the ACA raised taxes, and premiums are on the rise. (Health Network) Because of these things there is a chance that it will be repealed in the future, firstly, Congress should weigh which people are in the best positions to make a difficult decisions about economic tradeoff, rather than a one-size-fits-all mandate, employers and workers should work together to determine whether the coverage is worth the wage reduction. (The Heritage Foundation) A couple other things are that Congress should ensure that people who act responsibly should be protected from the high costs if they develop an expensive medical condition and lastly they should develop a better way to address the affordability of healthcare for people who have low income. Repealing and replacing the ACA may be coming in the future sooner than some expect, and Congress has promised to free the country from the Affordable Care Act and they are getting closer, but they must also ensure that they replace it with sensible reforms. (The Heritage Foundation) There are many good things about the Affordable Care Act and the more I read into it the more I found out that it is not perfect for everyone which I knew but I did not know the extent of it. However I do think that the ACA is a good thing for most people and that it should stay around, although I also think that a lot needs to be worked out with the Act to make it better for all Americans and that when it comes to fixing these things about the Act they need to be done effectively and gradually.

Feminism, By Bell Hook And Sheryl Sandberg Essay - 866 Words

â€Å"If my generation was too naà ¯ve, the generations that have followed may be too practical. We knew too little, and now girls know too much.† (Sandberg. Pg. 646) In the past, the call for women’s rights was heated as much as it was alive; many women today believe that they no longer need feminism in their lives. The misconception that feminist ideals are outdated has lead modern women to fall short in their desire to accomplish more. Sheryl Sandberg refuels feminist goals in the article â€Å"Lean In: What Would You Do If You Weren’t Afraid.† She addresses lack of females in the work force, as well as, the way society prompts boys compared to girls. Bell Hook, in contrast, provides a deeper understanding of feminist ideals, along with, an in depth analysis of Sandberg’s work. The articles written by Bell Hook and Sheryl Sandberg express each woman’s perspective on modern feminism; although they both call for action, Sandberg focuses on the inequality between the sexes, while Hook broadens the overall argument to include topics such as race, sexuality and class equality. In the article â€Å"Lean In: What would you do if you weren’t afraid,† Sandberg modernizes feminism for the woman of today. Sandberg addresses many points of gender inequality that are still present in today’s society. She urges woman to not fall into passive gender roles, but rather, to be â€Å"Ambitious†. The Fundamental Role Of Labor Unions - 1818 Words

Godard’s definition of labour is akin to that of the Marxists and it states that labour is the conversion of human effort into some measurable input in exchange for money. He argues that labour is given by the employed to established economic and social relationships with the employer (Godard, 1993). 2 What is the fundamental role of labour unions? The fundamental role of trade unions is to defend the rights of workers that subscribe to them. This they accomplish by negotiating for wage concessions, and better working conditions. 3 What distinctions divide workers into different groups or categories? In what way have these classifications changed over time? What are the reasons for this change? Class and union status are some of the distinguishing characteristics of workers. Class distinction has given rise to different types of employees or workers e.g. executives, managers, supervisors, general workers, and support staff. Another categorization looks categorizes workers as either unionized or non-unionized (Godard, 1993). These categories continue to exist albeit some changes. For instance, more and more workers have since become unionized while some have gone back to school and acquired skills to rise to management positions. The desire for better living and working conditions is the primary reason behind the change. 4 What is the role of managers? Typically, the user enters a site (through a link, a bookmark, or by typing a URL) and is presented with a page. The user spends some time looking at the page, and then clicks on a link or a browser button. The system responds by presenting a new page. The user looks at that, then clicks somewhere. There is an interaction between the user and the Web site. With any luck, the Web site is responding to the users actions in a predictable way, and the user, in turn, is reacting to the Web site. This can be seen as a conversation between user and Web site, or between user and site designer. The objective of good dialog design is to facilitate the user finding the page he/she is looking for (i.e. the page or pages on which the desired information resides) in the most effective way possible. The quality and efficacy of a particular dialog design can only be assessed in the context of its use: specific users performing specific tasks. Nobodys job description reads, use the computer. Digging, by Seamus Heaney Essay Example For Students

Digging, by Seamus Heaney Essay Digging, by Seamus Heaney is a poem about a young man who gets criticised for choosing a line of work, which is not necessarily ordinary or traditional to his family, and who finally decides that his idea of real work is writing, not physical labour. The poet reminisces about the men in his family and his memories of how hard they worked and passed down their skills from generation to generation. Isolation and separation is one of the first themes introduced to the reader in ‘Digging’, as the reader can immediately form a picture of the poet sitting at his writing desk while looking down at his father digging and working in the garden, with a glass pane separating them (stanza 2). This barrier between the poet and his father leads to the simile â€Å"snug as a gun†, from which the reader can derive that the poet is comparing his pen to a weapon with which the poet intends to protect himself from criticisms about his line of work and untraditional choice. Throughout the first and last stanzas of ‘Digging’, the poet comes to terms with issues of critique. The changes between the first and last stanza reveal that the poet has found a solution, and come to terms with his fate. The poet comes to realize that he may not ever be as skilled as the men in his family setting an example to him by working hard and labouring physically, but that he has other precious skills like writing, with which he can earn an honest living and recreate his forbearers’ lifestyles. The reader is introduced to the idea that the poet feels superior to the manual work his father subjects himself to and wants to get away from the lifestyle physical labour offers. The poet â€Å"looks down† at his father’s â€Å"straining rump† and this shows that the poet is literally elevated in his position, and the reader gets the sense that the poet feels somehow superior to manual work and isn’t comfortable with the idea of making his living in a similar way to his father’s. The poet explains his father’s skills intensively, and throughout the poem (stanza 4-7), the poet introduces the theme of time where the reader is provided with a flashback of the poet’s grandfather, a potato farmer, with the same skills, from which the poet’s father presumably learnt his gardening and farming skills. The paradox, â€Å"coarse boot nestled† gives the reader an idea of the physicality of the digging and labour, as well as the contrasting love of work combined with expert skill. The poet takes the reader back in time to show that working with the land has always been a proud tradition in his family. The poet has broken the chain by choosing a different career in the form of writing. The poet conveys the idea that his family is proud of their achievements and follows traditions. In the line â€Å"My grandfather could cut more turf in a day than any other man on Toner’s bog,† the poet conveys the message that the achievements his family is proud of are measured by the ability to farm and work the land skilfully, not necessarily by the ability to write. In the second last stanza the difficulties the poet’s wish to write are revealed. The words â€Å"the curt cuts through living roots† are sharp words used as a metaphor to explain the instant where the poet cuts his ties with his family’s traditional ideas of earning a living. Comparing the line â€Å"as snug as a gun† in the beginning of the poem to â€Å"I’ll dig with it†, gives the reader a realization that the poet has made up his mind and chosen to follow the path he wants to take. The poet realizes that his skill with a pen is similar to that of his father and grandfathers’ farming skills and that he can carry his love for the earth through his writing. .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e , .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .postImageUrl , .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e , .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e:hover , .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e:visited , .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e:active { border:0!important; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e:active , .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .ueb81dba8623febf660b976d67645d51e:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Response to Robert Frost's "Education by poetry" EssaySimilar to the poet’s grandfather, â€Å"digging down for the good turf,† the poet will dig down for the good skills and ideas that make his poetry a true work of art.

CSR on International Business-Free-Samples-Myassignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about CSR on International Business. Answer: Abstract This paper mainly discusses about the impact of CSR on International business. It also talks about the several trends in the history of emergence of CSR. There is also the discussion of the pros and cons of the corporate and social responsibility of the well known International companies. The paper also goes on towards the discussion of the legal obligations that the companies must always take into consideration while adopting the CSR activities. There is also the example of many well known companies that have been often highly criticized because of the unethical and illegal activities that were taken up by hose companies. It also talks about the newest adaptations that have been made in UAE as a part of the joint effort towards taking up of the CSR activities. The importance of Corporate Social Responsibility on International Business CSR or the corporate social responsibility is a very important aspect of any and every business organization in the present day business scenario. In this modern day the needs and demands of people have underwent a sea change (Boulouta and Pitelis 2014). The business organizations have also realized that in order to flourish in the long run they need to take up several over additional responsibilities apart from just satisfying their customers. As a result of this the companies have started this new approach called the CSR or the corporate social responsibility. This is basically a new and innovative business model that enables the business organizations to promote sustainable development for all their stakeholders. This can be done by generating several social, economic and environmental benefits for each and every stakeholder. It is also very important for the multinational companies to be able to utilize their corporate social responsibility as a part of their overall business. Th is will not only benefit the society but also will be quite helpful towards the business organization itself. It is also very much essential for the Multinational companies to make sure that they are very much capable in taking up their responsibility towards the environment and also towards all their stakeholders (Boulouta and Pitelis 2014). This paper will be dealing with the influence of corporate social responsibility over the International Business. Research Methodology Qualitative analysis method has been used in order to get an overview of the emergence of CSR in the historical framework. Different aspects of CSR of the international companies have been described. This analysis has also dealt with the kinds of CSR that the global companies can deal. The results also show what can be the pros and cons of adopting the CSR activities. Hypothesis CSR activities will help in increasing the brand loyalty of the international companies. Brands loyalty is one of the most important aspects of the present market scenario. In order to survive in the long run, the companies will have to provide their customers with something that is beyond the reach of their competitors (Brammer and Mellahi 2015). CSR of the international companies can make the company reputation suffer. In order to carry on the CSR, the companies will need extra fund that will ultimately be gathered from the customers itself. This will make some additions in the usual price of the products. As the area of operation of internal companies is large they deal with many different customers. Each of them has a different mindset (Soeberg and van Zandwijk 2016). As a result of this, many customers may refuse to pay the extra additional price and switch over to alternatives. CSR will enhance the overall production, popularity and goodwill of the International business. Customers will not be reluctant to pay a bit more for purchasing the products of the company if they see a noble cause behind it like the companys effort to help the poor children for education, or compensating the customer losses, or donating for some social service (Tai and Chuang 2014). To analyze the importance of corporate social responsibility in international business 1930s- The term CSR for the first time came into act. It was perhaps because Professors A.A Berle AND Prof C.G Means at the Harvard University wanted to work upon something that would make the organizations much more responsible towards taking up more responsibilities after the Great Depression. 1960s-1970s- All the companies were being encouraged to take up the different CSR activities related to the social, environmental, economic activities. 1980s-1990s- IUCN created a world conservation strategy as per which the business organizations were asked to contribute towards a more stable economy, and also help in supporting the poverty stricken population. The triple bottom line business model was also invented. The corporate social responsibility is a new kind of business approach that has been used up by different business organizations. However in the recent years, all the different business organizations are demanding for raising the matter of the corporate social responsibility and making it compulsory for all the companies. All the companies usually play a very important role in the society. In other words, it is the different business organizations which are responsible for making the lives of people easy by providing them with all the necessary components of day to day life. It is therefore essential for the business organizations to contribute more towards the society. The companies must therefore try to play a very vital role in the society. However this must be noted at the same time that the corporate and social responsibility is not really a very new concept. It is something that has been present since time in memoriam. The concept of the corporate and social responsibility is basically aimed at using the environmental resources in a very sensitive way. In other words the business organizations that are mainly engrossed in the manufacturing of several goods and services must also know how to take up their responsibility towards the nature. The business organizations must not give priority only to money making but they must also keep in mind that they have some responsibility towards their environment as well. However the very origin of the corporate and social responsibility can be traced back into time of Bible and the holy Christian scriptures where God created The Earth and also man (Brammer and Mellahi 2015). This is a common fact that is known to all. However the most important connection that we can derive from here and relate it with the concept of Corporate and social responsibility is evident from the fact that man was instructed by God to fill the Earth and to govern it. Same is the case w ith business organizations. They must make sure that none of their activities are harming the environment in any way. They must also keep aside a certain portion of their profit for being donated in several social developmental works. As far as the Multinational companies are concerned, taking up the usage of the corporate social responsibility has become all the very essential. As they International business is usually carried on a very large scale, it is natural that they have to deal with a large number of stakeholders and also have to look after a large number of transactions taking place across several different countries. The main concept main concept of the CSR is a particular set of conducts that the companies must abide by while treating their customers. CSR comprises of several rules that the company will have to keep in mind while carrying on its day to day activity. CSR of the multinational companies will mainly be evaluated on the basis of the companys attitude towards the community. In other words, the CSR of the company will mainly be conducted through the waste management, elimination of wastes, efficient and productive use of resources of the company (Tai and Chuang 2014). However it must be taken into account that corporate social responsibility is not always the same thing for all the organizations. Many think that it is just related to legal considerations, while others may often consider it as a charitable means. As the multinational companies usually operate in many different countries, they often face many different kinds of problems and have to face many new kinds of social, ethical and environmental problems. The business organizations must be able to understand and take up their responsibility towards the society and must always try to do something good for the welfare of all the people of society. This can include activities like supporting the poor and the underprivileged people, or some contributions for the remote village areas by contributing a good amount of donations for street lightning and several other such activities (Brammer and Mellahi 2015).Corporate and social responsibility is also of great importance in teaching the companies about the unethical practices that they often continue like that of appointment of child labor, keeping the employees in general and specially the minor children as the bonded labor. As the CSR of the company is very much associated with the legal obligations as well, it is also very essential for the companies to pay very much importance to it. There are innumerable examples where the renowned and the well known companies have often neglected this legal obligation, Some good examples can be Nike, Nestle, James Hardie and several other such companies. This is really very much unfortunate that such well known companies which are very much involved in the global or the international business have been involved in such unethical and harmful activities. These activities were adopted and followed by these international companies only in order to satisfy their own personal benefits. Nike is a very well known universally establish company that was highly criticized for having overlooked its legal and ethical consideration by appointing and employing the young and minor children as labor In this way they were promoting or rather taking the help of child labor which is an universal crime. As a well known responsible company they must have contributed towards supporting the poor and the unprivileged children. Same was the case with Nestle as well. Though it is one of the most well known and u universally recognized company. Nestle has also been criticized on a large scale to have ignored the legal considerations and have used several unethical means. They have also made use of bonded child labor in order to utilize the supply chain for their products. Another such example can be that of James Hardie Company. One of the most important aspects of the corporate and social responsibility of the multinational companies must be to make sure that none of their activities are causing any harm to their consumers (Soeberg and van Zandwijk 2016). The central idea of the corporate and social activity of the companies is to contribute towards the well being of the society. However James Hardie products were harming the customers a great deal by creating asbestos related diseases. It was from the building materials of this company that the consumers were rapidly getting affected from the asbestos related disease. In such cases it was the prior responsibility of the company to have helped the consumers by providing them with ample compensations or by taking up the entire responsibility of bearing the treatment of the affected consumers. However nothing such was seen in this case. The company made up efforts from its own end to help those people. Another such example is that of Ford Pinto that went to such a great extent of risking up the lives of their customers by allowing a certain flawed car design to pass on (Tai and Chuang 2014). Though it was known to the company that this kind of a design will have fatal results, they allowed this model to be designed only because it would have been cheaper for them to pay off the law suits very easily. This flawed model of the car had resulted into the accidents and death of many customers. Hence, it is very much evident that the legal considerations are very much a part of the corporate and social responsibility of the companies which they must always adhere to. There are several pros and cons of the corporate and social responsibility that is taken up by the companies. Advantages of CSR on Companies In the present day scenario all the multinational companies have to maintain a very good customer relationship in order to maintain their image worldwide. This is very much related to the trust, consistency and the credibility. Maintaining a good CSR is likely to enhance the relationship between the company and the consumers. The increased consumer attachment is likely to bring many financial benefits for the company (Wood 2015). Improved innovation and competitiveness The multinational companies will be able to use the CSR as a very good opportunity of increasing their innovation. CSR usually acts as the opportunity identifier for the companies because many stakeholders will be sharing their valuable feedbacks that the companies can use for their betterment (Hadfield and Measham 2015). Positive publicity It is needless to state that in the modern day business scenario needs to pay huge attention on its publicity so that they can enjoy a very good reputation across all the regions of their operation. A good CSR will always help in increasing the publicity of the company. This is because the consumers will never mind to pay a little extra for buying the products of a company if they see a noble cause behind it (Brammer and Mellahi 2015). A very good example can be the advertisement of many companies that are often telecast on television in order to make the customers aware about the CSR of the companies. The advertisements show that buying several products of that company will help in contributing towards the education of the poor children or for the medical treatment of the poor who cannot afford it on their own. This will make more customers interested in buying the products of the company and the reputation of the company will also be enhanced. Disadvantages of CSR on companies Shift from profit making objective Though it is said that CSR always helps in making the company have a long lasting and good reputation but at the same time it also makes the company shift its attention from the profit making objective (Wood 2015). In the attempt of promoting the welfare for the community, the companies start keeping aside their funds and other resources. This however makes the company pay much less attention on its shareholders. The companies often forget that they have to work for their stakeholders and also make profits for them. Company reputation takes a hit As per the policies of the CSR, the companies need to disclose all their errors to the customers regarding their products. Often this creates a negative impact on the customers when the companies have to declare their already sold out products as flawed and call them back. This takes away the customer base from the hands of the company and also earns them a very negative ratio. Increase in the cost of production The companies will naturally have to bear a huge amount of expenditure in order to adopt and carry on with the CSR activities. If the companies want to keep aside and use a certain amount of their profit for some of the welfare activities of the company, then this extra fund has to be somehow raised by the company (Hadfield and Measham 2015). This can only be arranged if the company takes extra amount of money from their customers. However the customers might feel reluctant in paying more prices for the products. This is because of the fact that not every customer is of the same type. Particularly in case of the multinational companies this is very much visible because these companies have to operate over a large number of areas and the economy of all the different regions is also different. Hence, the customers operating in such large area of operation will not be of the same mindset. So, some of the customers will be reluctant to pay extra amount of money for the same products. At the same time there will be some customers who will have no problem in paying the extra additional price of the product if the company is having a noble case behind it. Legislations and provisions related to CSR As the multinational companies are the ones that usually operate over a large area they often have to face many different kinds of legal obligations as well. Different countries have different kinds of legal system. Often the legal system of many countries are too much complicated a d the companies have to suffer through a lot of difficulties in order to get the legal formalities done (He and Lai 2014). However if the companies are to carry on with their CSR properly, then they will have to undergo with all these difficulties and the legal formalities done. They will have to keep this in and that they cannot ignore the legal considerations of they are o promote the welfare of the community in the long run. Companies like Nestle have been highly criticized to have been involved in many unethical and illegal practices thus having overlooked the legal consideration of their corporate and social responsibility. Hence, it can be stated that in the modern day scenario it is very essential for the MNCS to take up the CSR activities. Though the companies will have to undergo several difficulties in this process, but they will have to overcome it. However they companies will have to keep pace with the 21st century scenario and they have to emphasize on a multidimensional aspect. They have to take in consideration the area of their operation, the demographic and the psychographic aspects of the consumers, the geographical location of their outlets and several other such factors (He and Lai 2014).. The companies will have to realize the fact that they can and must take an active participation in the pro motion of the social welfare. Particularly, the MNCs have a huge scope for this. Taking up the CSR activities will also enable the firms to maintain a good reputation all over their areas of operation. Many important companies all over the world have started taking up many important steps towards t he economic and social development. There are many important companies that have taken up many important CSR activities in order to serve for the welfare of the community and also for creating a good brand image for themselves. Some of the important and well known companies that are known for best CSR activities are Google, The Walt Disney Company, Microsoft and many others. One of the important influences that CSR has over the international business is the rand loyalty. It is a known fact that the present market scenario is a very competitive one and the companies need to work hard in order to survive in the long run. One of the most important moves that can be taken by the companies to establish the brand loyalty is by taking up the CSR very seriously. Consumer loyalty is however very tough to earn. The company has to make proper research and development in order to know the expectation of the customers. The companies have to keep in mind that they need to do something that is very unique and that makes them differen t from their competitors. They have to satisfy the customers to such an extent that is beyond the reach of their competitive firms. Only then the consumers will consider buying the same product from the same market even in future and under any kind of circumstances. Companies based in all the countries have started taking up many different kinds of CSR activities in order to sustain in the long run. Countries like UK, Australia have already made several improvements in order to expand their CSR activities. A major change has also been seen in UAE in terms of the CSR. They have adhered to the Global Compact which is the Worlds largest sustainability initiative. Many stakeholders from all over the world have joined hands in this initiative and launched this UN global network in Dubai. As a part of their CSR activity they have started focusing on new projects like setting up solar street power. This is an effort to reduce the energy consumption. They have also started working on women empowerment. As a part of this, the HeForShe campaign has also been launched. Conclusion Hence, it can be concluded that CSR activities have influenced the global business a great deal and has also helped it in many different ways. CSR will help the company to create a deep relationship with the customers. It will enable to enhance the brand loyalty of the company. This in turn will be influencing the profit maximization of the company. This will be beneficial to the company on both parts. It will not be harming the profit maximizing objective of the company and will also enable the companies to carry on with their CSR activities. Hence, establishing and using the CSR guidelines for any industry is of utmost importance. References Berlan, A., 2016.
